SWFL Vegfest will showcase the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle for our health, compassion for animals and protecting our planet.
There's no greater gift you can give to the animals than a plant-based diet.
Compassion is defined as the feeling that arises when you are confronted with another’s suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering. Compassion is action oriented.
No one wants to intentionally cause harm. But we grew up with the notion of “dominion over animals.” Is it right to think that humans are the only ones whose lives matter?
Many people have pets who are family members. Why are these animals special and not others?
What is a non-violent way to live?
What does this mean on a practical level? How do I live my life according to compassion?
Part of the mission of SWFL Veg Fest is to enable people to reconsider their relationships with animals as commodities in order to incorporate a more compassionate lifestyle that benefits their own health, the health of the planet, and all living beings.
Come to SWFL Veg Fest – we will have a nationally known speaker on animal rights, vendor products, food demos, books, animal adoptions, and lots of people willing to help you continue or start your journey of compassion!
“The problems we have in this world are not because we have so much compassion we don’t know what to do with it. The problems we have are because people aren’t living according to their own values of kindness and compassion we say we have..” by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau
